WHAT IS REIKI?

 

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.

USUI REIKI

 

Usui Reiki takes it's name from the founder of the Reiki system of natural healing - Dr. Mikao Usui and all Usui Reiki practitioners are able to trace their lineage directly back to him (he transitioned in 1926). The Usui system of Reiki is more than the use of the Reiki energy. It must also include an active commitment to improve oneself.  Read more

HOLY FIRE REIKI

 

This is a new form of Reiki being introduced by the International Center for Reiki Training. It is both powerful and gentle and provides purification, healing, empowerment and guidance. It is included as part of the Usui Reiki classes and Karuna Reiki training.

KARUNA REIKI

 

Karuna is a Sanskrit word and is used in Hinduism and Buddhism. It is translated to mean any action that is taken to diminish the suffering of others and could also be translated as "compassionate action". In the same way that you would want the wounds of others to heal.
